How does it work?

It's an online programme built on three pillars: guided exercises for your pelvic floor, food that's kind to your bladder, and habits for everyday life.

You start with a self-test, follow short sessions level by level, and keep track of your progress as you go.

Who is it for?

For women who leak when they cough, laugh or exert themselves, who get urgent needs to go to the toilet or who get up several times at night, and who want to work on it at home.

If your leaks are heavy, came on suddenly, or come with pain, a temperature or blood in your urine, please see your GP first.

When might I notice a difference?

Every woman progresses at her own pace. Consistency is key: the programme is set out week by week so you can move forward step by step.

How much time do I need each day?

About 5 minutes a day. You can do it whenever suits you best, and you don't need any previous experience.

How do I receive the programme?

As soon as you complete your purchase, you'll get an email with your access.

How does the guarantee work?

You have 30 days from purchase. If you're not happy, email contacto@doctorbranson.com with your order number and we'll refund the amount you paid to the same payment method.

A complete method, not a few random exercises

Start today, on your phone, without anyone knowing

As soon as you buy, you're in. You get an email with your link, tap it and you're straight in on your phone or computer. Nothing to install, no parcel to wait for, nowhere to go.

You don't need lots of time or any experience. Inside there's a 12-week plan with 14 video exercises you do along with the video, step by step. Sessions take under 5 minutes, at home and at your own pace. You tick off what you've done and your progress saves automatically.

It's not "just another exercise". Pelvic floor training is the first option recommended by clinical guidelines for leaks when you cough, laugh or exert yourself (NICE). The key is doing it properly. That's why the method first teaches you to check you're using the right muscle, and then to coordinate and consolidate it.

"More common than you think"

You're not the only one this happens to

It starts with something small: a few drops when you cough, have a good laugh or lift something. Then, without even noticing, you start planning your day around the toilet.

  • You look for the loo as soon as you arrive anywhere.
  • You always wear a pad "just in case".
  • You avoid jumping, running or playing with your grandchildren.
  • You get up several times during the night.
  • You choose your clothes so nothing will show.

If any of these sound familiar, it's not your fault, and it's not something you just have to put up with. It happens to a huge number of women, especially after pregnancy and around the menopause, and hardly anyone talks about it.

The pelvic floor is a muscle, and muscles can be trained.

What our members say:

Situations so many women live with and hardly anyone talks about

Urine leaks are very common: in a survey of women in France, Germany, Spain and the UK, more than 1 in 3 had experienced leaks in the previous month (BJU International, 2004). It's not something you have to keep quiet about or put up with.

A sneeze at the wrong moment

A sneeze at the wrong moment

At work, at the supermarket or in the middle of a conversation. One sneeze is all it takes for a little wee to escape.

Laughing… carefully

Laughing… carefully

Many women learn to hold back a laugh or cross their legs before laughing properly.

The winter cold

The winter cold

A few days of coughing, and every cough becomes a tense moment.

The "just in case" panty liner

The "just in case" panty liner

Wearing one every day, even when you don't need it every day, ends up becoming a habit.

Going to the toilet before leaving the house

Going to the toilet before leaving the house

And wherever you arrive, the first thing you do is find out where the toilet is.

When you can't make it in time

When you can't make it in time

Sudden, strong urges that leave you rushing to the toilet.

The exercises didn't fail you: no one taught you how to do them properly

Have you done pelvic floor exercises and noticed no difference? It's not your fault. When they're only explained in words, many women find it hard to contract the muscle properly.

These are the most common mistakes:

1

Squeezing the wrong muscle

Your bottom, tummy or thighs do the work and the pelvic floor barely switches on.

2

Holding your breath

Holding your breath increases the pressure on the pelvic floor instead of helping it.

3

Always repeating the same thing

Without progression, the exercise stops being enough as the weeks go by.

4

Not using it when you need it

Activating your pelvic floor just before you cough, laugh or lift something is a skill that can be trained too.

5

Giving up too soon

Clinical guidelines use around 12 weeks of regular training as their reference.

HOW THE BRANSON METHOD APPROACHES IT

The Branson Method is based on 3 steps: Check · Coordinate · Consolidate. First, you check you're activating the right muscle. Then you learn to coordinate it with your breathing and with effort (the Branson Move). Finally, you consolidate it with the 12-week Ladder.

Not all leaks are the same

Knowing which type of leaks you have helps you work on what you really need. Inside the method there's a test to point you in the right direction. It's for guidance only and does not replace an assessment by a professional.

Stress leaks

They happen when you cough, sneeze, laugh, jump or lift something. They're the most common type, and for these, pelvic floor training is the first recommendation in clinical guidelines.

  • Learn to activate your pelvic floor correctly
  • Use it just before the effort
  • Step-by-step levels

The sessions are short and I do them in the morning before breakfast. It's the first time I've ever stuck with something like this.

I was embarrassed even to look up information about this. Being able to do it at home and at my own pace has really put my mind at ease.

Hi Ana. Yes: the programme starts from the very basics and you go at your own pace. If you have any pain or a medical question, check with your GP or physio first.

The good thing is you know what to do each day. I used to start exercises off the internet and give up after a week.

Frequently asked questions

What if I've already tried Kegel exercises and they didn't work?

That's very common. Lots of women do them without knowing whether they're using the right muscle, while holding their breath or without any progression. The method starts by teaching you to do them properly and to check you're doing them right. If you don't notice any change after about 3 months of regular practice, we recommend getting a professional assessment.

Will it help with my type of leaks?

It's designed for stress leaks (when you cough, laugh or jump), urgency leaks and mixed leaks, with specific chapters for each.

If you have blood in your urine, pain, fever, a feeling of a bulge or constant leaks, see your GP first.

Am I too old to start?

No. You can train your pelvic floor at any age, and the method includes a chapter on the menopause and a plan for over-65s. If you have other health conditions or any doubts, check with your GP first.

Do I need to install an app or be good with computers?

No. You get an email with a button for each guide. Tap it and it opens in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer.

Is it video or something to read?

Both. The method reads like a book, with step-by-step photos, and the Training Guide has all 14 exercises on video, with a woman doing them with you.

How much time do I need each day?

Very little. The guided sessions take under 5 minutes, and ticking off your habits takes one minute each evening.

Do I need any special equipment?

No. Just a comfortable spot where you can lie down or sit.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, on your phone or in your browser. If you change phone or browser you'll start from scratch, so it's best to always use the same one.

What will show up on my bank statement?

[PENDING: name that appears on the charge.] The emails we send you don't mention what you bought.

Can I follow it if I've been offered surgery or I use a pessary?

Check with your doctor first. The programme is educational and can complement, but never replace, the treatment you've been given.

Can I follow it if I'm pregnant or have just had a baby?

There's a specific chapter and plan for after giving birth. Before you start, ask your midwife, gynaecologist or pelvic health physiotherapist when it's OK to begin.

Does it replace physiotherapy?

No. It's an educational programme to follow at home. If you need a one-to-one assessment, a pelvic health physiotherapist can help, and the programme can complement that.

What if I can't do it one day?

That's absolutely fine. Just pick up where you left off the next day. What matters is keeping it up over the weeks, not any one day.

How long do I have access for?

Lifetime access.

How does the guarantee work?

You have 30 days from the date of purchase. Email contacto@doctorbranson.com with your order number and we'll refund the amount you paid to the same payment method.
